Up to February 19, the officers and men dispatched by the Armed Police
Guizhou Contingent to repair the power grids in 17 power repair spots had
transported successively more than 1,500 tons of power materials and made great
contributions to the post-disaster reconstruction of Guizhou Province.
In the unusual snow disaster, the power facilities in 90% of the counties
and cities of Guizhou Province were paralyzed. However, the most arduous task in
the rush-repair is to carry the power facilities to high mountains. The Armed
Police Guizhou Contingent rapidly mustered troops to voluntarily take on the job
of transporting power facilities.
According to statistics, since February 16, the Armed Police Guizhou
Contingent has dispatched 6,000-odd persons/times to transport power facilities
and laid a solid foundation for the fast restoration of power grids in Guizhou
Province.
