In order to search and rescue the crashed helicopter and the people on board, the relief troops sent out over 8,000 people, five helicopters to fly 27 sorties and adopted various technical means to search the crashed helicopter from the air and on the ground in the related area on June 2. At the moment the search-and-rescue operation is still under way.

　　As of June 2, the PLA and the Armed Police Force dug out 24,000 corpses, treated over 423,000 injured people, evacuated more than 995,000 stranded people, pitched 204,000-odd tents and transported 5,920.4 tons of relief materials.
