A Chinese peacekeeper distributes Children's Day gifts to
Lebanese children.

Holding their Children's Day gifts from China in hand, the
Lebanese kids are very excited.
On the afternoon of June 1, 2008, the International
Children's Day, some minesweeping engineers from the Chinese Peacekeeping
Engineer Battalion in Lebanon visited the primary school of a village where
the battalion is stationed. The Chinese peacekeepers brought the Lebanese
children gifts with Chinese characteristics such as Chinese knots made from red
silk ribbons, the Beijing Olympics mascot Fuwa, pencils and Chinese folding fans,
etc. to deliver their festival wishes to the Lebanese children. In addition, they
gave a class on common knowledge of exploders in order to teach the
children how to protect themselves and keep away from lethal exploders like
cluster bombs.
