A basketball match held in the campsite of the Sino-Indian Army joint
anti-terrorism training, at the shore of the Indian Ocean, at 06:30 am on Dec. 9
local time.
Company A is a composite company composed of one Chinese platoon and two
Indian platoons, while composite Company B is made up of two Chinese platoons
and one Indian platoon. The two companies are locked in a nip and tuck match
from the very beginning.
The whistle of the referee ended the match with a score of 65:66. Players
of both sides hugged each other tightly and wished each other all the best.
Since both Company A and Company B have Chinese and Indian members, so both
teams are winners.
"This type of training aims at arousing the fighting will of all the
trainees, eliminating fatigue of the officers and men, promoting friendship and
developing chemistry between the two sides," said Yang Xiuguang, commander of
the Chinese battalion commander.
According to Qin Xiangyou, leader of the directing group of the Chinese
battalion, they have also engaged the troops in such competitions as tug-of-war,
diving and flying fox during the training.
