Overseas Chinese proud of PLA Navy
¡¡¡¡The Chinese PLA Navy successfully held the first international maritime parade in the waters off the port city Qingdao, China's Shandong Province on April 23. The overseas Chinese and Chinese students abroad all feel proud of China's prosperity and the strength of the Chinese PLA Navy.
¡¡¡¡"I feel extremely excited and proud when seeing the mighty Chinese naval formation," said Li Zonglun, the managing vice chairman of the Russia-based China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification, "When we saw the Chinese nuclear submarines and various advanced warships with the Five-Star Red Flags sailing at the sea and the spirited naval officers and men undergoing review, a strong sense of pride was ignited in my heart."

Amphibious landing ship
The "Kunlunshan" ship with a hull number of 998 is an amphibious dock landing ship. With a total length of 210 m, a maximal width of 28 m and a normal displacement of 18,500 tons, it is the surface combat ship with the biggest tonnage in China at present.
Missile speedboat
A new-type missile speedboat that is equipped with advanced missile and anti-electromagnetic interference system has evoked the extensive concerns of domestic and foreign military experts since its d¨¦but in 2004.
 
Salute to the international fleets
The first multinational fleet review held in China has seen a diverse blend of advanced naval vessels traveling from 14 nations. Today, they will dock along the Qingdao coastline to be reviewed by naval leaders from 29 nations, as well as China's top military leaders.
