PLA delegation holds 2nd plenary meeting

  BEIJING, March 11 (ChinaMil) -- The delegation with the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), which is attending the 3rd session of the 12th National People's Congress, held its 2nd plenary meeting on the morning of March 10, 2015.

  Fan Changlong and Xu Qiliang, who are vice chairmen of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), Defense Minister Chang Wanquan, Chief of General Staff Fang Fenghui, Director of the General Logistics Department Zhao Keshi, Director of the General Armaments Department Zhang Youxia, Commander of the PLA Navy Wu Shengli, commander of the PLA Air Force Ma Xiaotian and Commander of the PLA Second Artillery Force Wei Fenghe, who are members of the CMC attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Yang, member of the CMC and director of the General Political Department.

  Totaling 15 delegates submitted their proposals during the meeting.

  Sun Herong, deputy commander of the PLA Ji'nan Military Area Command (MAC) and the commander of air force of the PLA Ji'nan MAC, made some proposals on strengthening actual combat joint training in open sea. Li Yanming, political commissar of the Armaments Department of the PLA Navy, offered his advice on boosting army's legislation level. Miao Runqi, professor of the Air Force Command Institute, put forward his opinions on improving military legal rules and regulations. Liu Shilei, office director of the Chemical Defense Institute of the PLA General Armament Department (GAD), suggested further strengthening the prevention from harms of CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear) as well as the security system of emergency rescue.
