Lieutenant General - Qin Jiwei
   Born in Hubei Province in 1914 and passed away in 1997.

Qin Jiwei was conferred the military rank of lieutenant general in 1955.


   During the Anti-Japanese War, Qin Jiwei was the commander of the 1st Military Sub-Command of the Taihang Military Area Command and concurrently Party secretary of the prefecture committee of the Communist Party of China.


  During the Liberation War, Qin Jiwei was the commander of the 15th Corps of the PLA.

  During his office of State Councilor and Minister of National Defense, Qin Jiwei ( R ) met with foreign guests in Beijing.
