Qin Jiwei was conferred the
military rank of lieutenant general in 1955.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Qin Jiwei was the commander of
the 1st Military Sub-Command of the Taihang Military Area Command
and concurrently Party secretary of the prefecture committee of
the Communist Party of China.
During the Liberation War, Qin
Jiwei was the commander of the 15th Corps of the PLA.
