BEIJING, Nov. 16 (ChinaMil) -- China and India will hold an anti-terrorism joint training exercise involving Army troops of the two militaries from November 15 to 27 in Pune, India, according to a news release on the official website of China's Defense Ministry on Tuesday.
The training exercise is code named "Hand in Hand 2016. China sent 173 troops from the PLA Army units stationed in Tibet to participate in the exercise and the India Army also sent troops of a similar scale.
This is the sixth anti-terrorism training exercise jointly held by the Chinese and Indian armies. Participating troops of both sides will conduct drills of counter-terrorism reconnaissance operations, removing improvised explosive devices, searching for and containing terrorists.
