KUNMING, Nov. 18 (ChinaMil) -- The U.S.-China Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Exercise came to the second day on November 17.

On 8: 30 a.m., the desktop deduction started in the exercise commanding center. Chinese and American servicepersons, who were grouped into four teams responsible respectively for civil affairs coordination, comprehensive planning, rescue and relief operations and overall support, exercised the subjects of disaster information acquisition and sharing, joint operation decision making, joint operation planning and control, and joint logistic support.

Also on Thursday, seven mixed training units in charge of disaster reconnaissance, helicopter rescue and relief, water rescue and relief, life rescue, disaster victim evacuation, medical rescue and victim resettlement respectively, held exchange of rescue skills and adaptability training on the simulated "earthquake ruins", "dammed lake" and surrounding areas.

Upon invitation, a total of 40 military officers from 24 countries in Asia, Europe, America and Oceania came to Kunming to observe the exercise.
