China, Israel vow to enhance military logistics cooperation

BEIJING, Feb. 21 (ChinaMil) -- General Zhao Keshi, member of China's Central Military Commission(CMC) and director of the Logistic Support Department under the CMC, met with Major General Aharon Haliva, head of the Technological and Logistics Directorate of Israel Defense Forces, and his delegation in Beijing on February 20, 2017.

General Zhao Keshi welcomed the visit of Major General Haliva and his delegation. He said the Chinese and the Jewry are both great peoples that boast time-honored exchanges. The “Silk Road” connects the two peoples closely.

The two peoples went through a great deal of sufferings during the worldwide War against Fascism, and they shared weal and woe with each other, with profound friendship established, General Zhao Keshi said.

General Zhao Keshi reviewed his visit to Israel in 2015 and held that the relations between the two militaries have been developing smoothly, with constantly deepened exchanges in various fields, especially in the logistical sector that has witnessed frequent communications and fruitful and practical cooperation.

He hoped both sides can keep and continue expanding the communication and cooperation channels to elevate the logistical ties between the two militaries to a new level and instill new connotation to the development of the bilateral military relations.

General Zhao Keshi also briefed the delegation on China’s national defense and military reform situations.

Major General Haliva said the Israeli side attaches great importance to the development of friendship between the two militaries. Israel is willing to enhance communications and cooperation in various logistical fields with Chinese military, and share logistical reform and development experience to improve their respective logistical support ability.
