China to host six competitions of IAG 2017

BEIJING, Feb. 24 (ChinaMil) -- China will host six competitions of the International Army Games (IAG) 2017, according to a representative of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at the preparatory meeting of the IAG, reported Sputnik news on February 21.

The six competitions for army and air force troops will be held from July 29 to August 12 in China.

“The competitions to be held in China will take place simultaneously with those in Russia from July 29 to August 12,” he said.

The Suvorov Attack, the Masters of Artillery Fire, the Clear Sky and the Safe Environment competitions will be held in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China.

The Aviadarts and the Airborne Platoon competitions will be held respectively in Jilin and Hubei provinces of China.

Apart from competitions, aerobatic stunt shows will also be given performed during the IAG. The aerobatic teams which have received invitations include the Ba Yi, Red Falcon and Sky Wing aerobatic teams under the Chinese air force, and the three aerobatic teams of the Russian air force, the Russian Knights, Swifts, Falcons of Russia, as well as the Golden Eagles of the Russian army aviation, added the representative.
