CMC intensifies supervision over military training

BEIJING, March 21 (ChinaMil) -- Approved by the Central Military Commission (CMC), the Training Management Department and the Discipline Inspection Commission of the CMC have jointly issued a notification of punishments for 28 cases of violations of military training regulations.

A total of 57 units and 99 persons from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force of the PLA are liable for the violations and among them, 39 units and 58 persons are required to make self-examinations to their superiors, 14 units and 7 persons have been given a circularized criticism, 23 units and 8 persons have been deprived of the qualification for excellence selection, and 16 persons have received discipline punishments.

The CMC urged in the notification the PLA and Armed Police Force to conscientiously implement the important instructions of President Xi Jinping and the strategic decisions made by the CMC, and execute the combat effectiveness standards in the whole process of military training.

In order to push forward the real combat-oriented military training, related departments of the CMC will conduct supervision over the implementation of the interim provisions on strengthening real combat-oriented military training in the PLA and Armed Police Force. The targets of the supervision include the military leading organs at and above combined corps level, theatre command-level joint training exercise, training exercise involving troops of arms and services, as well as military colleges.
