Chinese peacekeeping force in Lebanon gets UNIFIL merit

SUR, SOUTH LENANON, March 27 (ChinaMil) -- UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) Head of Mission and Force Commander Maj. Gen. Michael Beary awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to the Chinese peacekeeping construction engineer contingent to Lebanon on March 24 in the UNIFIL mission area in the suburb of Sur (Tyre ) in southern Lebanon.

Maj. Gen. Beary spoke highly of the blindages constructed by the 15th Chinese peacekeeping construction engineer contingent to Lebanon with high quality, and awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to the Chinese peacekeeping contingent in recognition of their outstanding work.

The Certificate of Appreciation is the highest honor given by the UNIFIL to peacekeeping soldiers and conferred by the UNIFIL Force Commander in person to the awardees.
