GAO, May 9 (ChinaMil) -- The Chinese and German peacekeeping forces to Mali kicked off a joint medical rescue drill at the Chinese peacekeeping level-II hospital of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), located in Gao of Mali, at noon on May 6, 2017.

这是中德两国维和部队首次举行联合卫勤实兵救护演练。

This is the first time for the Chinese and German peacekeeping forces to Mali to hold a joint medical military drill.

中德两国维和部队救援力量共同设立联合指挥中心,德方启用武装直升机负责伤员运送,中国维和部队负责武装护卫和伤员救护。

During the drill, the Chinese and German peacekeeping forces set up a joint command center. The German side used helicopters to transport the wounded, and the Chinese side was responsible for the armed escort and rescue of the wounded.

演练重点开展伤员空中运送、反恐处突、批量伤病员救治等课目。

The drill focused on such subjects as aerial transport of the wounded, anti-terrorism and emergency-responding as well as rescue and treatment of a large number of the sick and the injured.

通过演练,中德两国维和部队间强化了协同意识,建立了联合响应机制,提升了应急救援能力。

Through the drill, the Chinese and German peacekeeping forces have strengthened their cooperative consciousness, established joint response mechanism and upgraded emergency rescue capabilities.
