BEIJING, May 12 (ChinaMil) -- Gen. Fan Changlong, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), met with the visiting Vietnamese Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Chi Vinh in Beijing on the morning of May 12, 2017.
Fan Changlong said that in recent years, the relations between the two parties, the two countries and the two militaries have been maintaining healthy and stable momentum of development under the joint promotion by leaders of the two parties and two countries.
Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks Thursday with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang in Beijing, which is of great significance and points out the direction of the further development of the bilateral relations, Fan said.
The bilateral military relations is an important part of the relations between the two parties and two countries. The Chinese military is willing to jointly work with the Vietnamese military to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and two countries, continue to strengthen mil-to-mil exchanges and cooperation in various fields, promote the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam, and jointly maintain regional peace and stability, Fan stressed.
Nguyen Chi Vinh said that China and Vietnam have enjoyed a profound traditional friendship and the leaders of the two parties and two countries attach great importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations between both sides.
The Vietnamese side is willing to make joint efforts with China to continue to enhance mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation in all areas and promote relations between the two parties, two countries and two militaries, Nguyen Chi Vinh added.
Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff Department under China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) Maj. Gen. Shao Yuanming also attended the meeting.
