Local overseas Chinese hold a welcoming ceremony for the arrival of the 25th Chinese escort naval fleet in Penang (George Town), Malaysia, on May 12, local time.

PENANG, MALAYSIA, May 15 (ChinaMil) -- The 25th Chinese escort naval fleet arrived in Penang (George Town), Malaysia, for a four-day friendship visit on May 12, local time.

The guided-missile destroyer Changchun (Hull 150) and the guided-missile frigate Jingzhou (Hull 532) arrived at the port of Penang at 10 a.m. May 12, local time.

Malaysia held a welcoming ceremony for the Chinese naval fleet. After the ceremony, representatives of overseas Chinese visited the guided-missile destroyer Changchun.

During the fleet's port call in Malaysia, leaders of the Chinese naval fleet will visit military and political leaders of Malaysia. Sailors of the two navies will carry out a series of visits and exchanges as well as friendly football game and other activities.

The guided-missile destroyer Changchun and the guided-missile frigate Jingzhou will remain open to local overseas Chinese and Malaysian naval sailors during the visit.
