China has issued a guideline on military recruitment publicity to reinforce the spirit of military duty and attract qualified young people to join the army.
The guideline was jointly issued by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission (CMC), and the National Defense Mobilization Department of the CMC.
It summarized the experience of publicity on recruitment in recent years and called for increased information on recruitment regulations.
According to the guideline, feature films, documentaries, songs and slogans should be disseminated across all media.
The guideline also suggested the use of multi-media platforms, including online interviews and animations.
