China's peacekeeping helicopters ready for missions in Darfur

Peacekeepers assemble the main rotor blade onto a multi-purpose Mi-171 helicopter at the Khartoum international airport in Khartoum City, capital of Sudan, July 2, 2017, local time. China's first peacekeeping helicopter detachment consisting of 140 peacekeepers has finished the assembly of their 4 Mi-171 medium multi-purpose helicopters on July 4 and been ready to undergo test flights as scheduled. The detachment will mainly conduct such peacekeeping missions as air patrol, battle reconnaissance, transportation of personnel and materials and so forth in the Darfur region of Sudan.
