Chinese team wins two champions at "Sea Cup" of IAG 2017

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, August 3 (ChinaMil) -- PLA Navy has won two top places at the "Sea Cup" competition of International Army Games (IAG) 2017.

Ship crew of the Chinese guided missile frigate Huangshi won the first place in the search-and-rescue contest on Wednesday.

The ship damage control contest was held at a joint training center of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy on the same day. Sailors of the guided missile frigate Huangshi completed the contest within 1' 59'' , second only to the Russia.

The ship crew skills competition of the Sea Cup started on Thursday on the designated sea area. The ship crew of the Huangshi won the first place with the score of 28'15'' in the contest of personnel search and rescue and towing the ship in distress.

Up to now, three events of the Sea Cup contest have been completed. The Chinese naval guided missile frigate Huangshi has pocketed two championships. Another four competitions including artillery firing at surface targets and artillery firing at aerial targets will take place in the next few days.
