Four Chinese peacekeeping helicopters complete test flight in Sudan

KHARTOUM, August 3 (ChinaMil) -- China's first peacekeeping helicopter detachment completed test flight for its four helicopters at the Khartoum International Airport in Khartoum, capital of Sudan, on the afternoon of August 3, local time.

In the test flight lasting 6 hours and 58 minutes, five major malfunctions were discovered and removed.

Required by the African Union/UN Hybrid Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), the four helicopters will be deployed in the Al-Fashir mission area in Darfur in two batches soon.

The detachment will carry out tasks such as air patrol, battlefield reconnaissance, personnel and material transport, and transfer of the injured.
