Chinese team wins in 2nd Pakistan Navy Int’l Nautical Competition

KARACHI, PAKISTAN, Nov. 20 (ChinaMil) -- The Chinese team comprised of the midshipmen of the PLA Navy's Dalian Naval Academy has won the 2nd Pakistan Navy International Nautical Competition, which was held in Karachi City of Pakistan in late Oct., by scoring four gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

The competition was held by the Pakistan Navy and hosted by the Pakistan Naval Academy. Naval Academies' midshipmen from eight countries including China, Pakistan and Oman participated in the event.

In the two-day-long competitions, six members of the Chinese team displayed marvelous performance in 7 single events of 4 categories including swimming, lifesaving races, seamanship race and sailing, and stood overall winner of the competition with the largest number of gold medals.

At the 1st Pakistan Navy Int’l Nautical Competition in Oct 2015, the Chinese delegation consisting of midshipmen of the PLA Navy's Dalian Naval Academy won the group champion with eight gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
