First Chinese training course in UNIFIL completes with 27 graduates

BEIJING, Jan. 24 (ChinaMil) --The commencement ceremony for the first Chinese language training course for peacekeepers and employees of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was held at the UNIFIL training center on January 23, 2018.

A total of twenty-seven trainees were conferred the course-completion certificates at the commencement ceremony.

The seven-week-long course started on December 5, 2017 with the learners having two lessons a week.

The nine teachers of the training course were all from the UNIFIL peacekeeping detachments from China, who taught oral Chinese bilingual in English and Chinese with the help of videos. The topics of the dialogues covered China's geography, tourist culture, tea culture, Beijing Opera, calligraphy, martial arts and cuisine.
