Chinese defense chief meets with Singaporean counterpart

SINGAPORE, Feb. 6 (ChinaMil) -- Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Chang Wanquan, who is currently on an official visit to Singapore, held talks with Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen of Singapore on Monday.

The two sides exchanged views on the regional security situation, the bilateral state and military relations between the two countries, and defense cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as other issues of common concern.

Before their meeting, Ng Eng Hen held a welcome ceremony for his Chinese counterpart and accompanied him to review the guard of honor of the Singapore Armed Forces.
