ASTANA, June 25 (ChinaMil) -- 38 officers and soldiers of the military band of China's Armed Police Force (APF) were invited to participate in the Military Tattoo activity of the Republican Guard of Kazakhstan on June 21 to celebrate Astana’s 20th anniversary as Kazakh capital.

Attended by nine military bands from Kazakhstan, China and Russia, the Military Tattoo kicked off at Astana Hockey Hall at 10:00 am on June 22, local time. China's APF military band gave a splendid appearance during the activity.

China's APF military band performed various band formations including a circle symbolizing peace, cooperation, unity and friendship at the closing ceremony on the evening of June 23. The audience burst into thunderous applause for the brilliant performance of the military band of China's APF.

After the performance, Lieutenant General Zhaksilikov Ruslan Fatikhovich, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conferred the certificate of merit and a trophy to the military band of Chinese Armed Police Force.

"Kazakhstani people and service members are charmed by the Chinese APF military band. I admire their professional skills and competence. I hope the friendship between the two countries and two militaries will be deepened and consolidated through the Military Tattoo activity," Zhaksilikov said.

It is learnt that this is the third time that the military band of Chinese APF has been invited to participate in international military tattoo.
