Khaan Quest 2018 peacekeeping field-training exercise concludes

ULAN BATOR, July 2 (ChinaMil) -- The two-week “Khaan Quest 2018” joint peacekeeping field-training exercise, participated by over 1,400 officers and soldiers from 26 countries, came to a successful conclusion in Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, on the afternoon of June 28.

Thirty-five Chinese officers and soldiers successively attended the opening ceremony, study of UN Peacekeeping Operations laws and regulations, real exercise with troops, evaluation and summary of the exercise, and the closing ceremony.

They also held a China Culture Night to showcase the Chinese culture and took part in the ball games as well as other exchange activities during the exercise.

During the phase of real exercise with troops, Chinese officers and soldiers participated in more than 10 joint drills including the regional defence, riots control, guard and search, convoy operations, battlefield first aid, protection of civilians and checkpoint operations.

"The Chinese participating troops made detailed preparations and positively participated in the exercise. They enhanced the mutual understanding and recognition with foreign troops and showcased the good image of the Chinese military through the exercise," said Wang Peijie, commanding officer of the Chinese participating troops.
