HONG KONG, August 27 (ChinaMil) -- The Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) successfully completed its 21st troop rotation on August 25 since it assumed Hong Kong's defense responsibility on July 1, 1997.

Han You, spokesperson for the PLA Hong Kong Garrison, announced the relevant information on the annual rotation of the garrison troops and the arrangement for retired soldiers.

Han said the 21st troop rotation was successfully carried out in accordance with the Garrison Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the command of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC). The size of garrison troops remained unchanged in both personnel and weaponry after the rotation.
