Congo, Oct. 15 (ChinaMil) -- On the eve of the World Mental Health Day 2018, the 22nd Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) organized a psychological counseling campaign to offer psychological counseling service to foreign peacekeeping troops to Congo.

Considering local complicated regional security situation, homesickness and other factors, peacekeepers are vulnerable to mental problems such as fear, anxiety and depression. Early psychological counseling is an important way to ensure peacekeepers maintain mental health and better fulfill their duties.

This psychological counseling campaign conducted in the camp of China’s peacekeeping medical detachment involved psychological consultations, lectures, Q&A and psychological interactive games. Peacekeepers from countries such as Nepal, Pakistan and Egypt benefited from the campaign.
