BEIJING, Dec. 12 (ChinaMil) -- Beijing held the 2018 Hiring Event for Veterans at the National Convention Center on December 11. A total of 276 state-owned, municipal, and large-scale private enterprises offered nearly 1,000 positions for retired military personnel to choose, and 663 people signed employment agreements on the spot.
“The hiring event aims to provide retired military personnel with diverse positions of different industries by various channels.”said a person in charge at the Beijing Bureau of Veterans Affairs, adding that they would guarantee retired military personnel can benefit from inclusive supportive policies for employment and entrepreneurship and public services, as well as the upcoming special preferential treatments.
Prior to this, Beijing had held the 2018 State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Hiring Event for Veterans, and 109 retired soldiers who met conditions for "employment arranged by government" were hired by the SOEs.
