Snapshots of border guards in chilly summer

In China's Xinjiang and Tibet regions, the geographical conditions of some border posts are extremely bad. It could be chilly snowy even in the summer of June. But just in such harsh environment, the border guards have written touching chapters with warm blood.

In Qiangtang terrane, the Hinterland of the snowy Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, officers and soldiers attached to a motorized transportation brigade under the PLA Xizang Military Command felt exceptional warmth for the care and enthusiasm received from local ethic residents en route. A Tibetan granny brought hot milk tea to the soldiers working in biting wind.

Recently, another piece of news saying that the officers and soldiers assigned to a high-altitude radar station under the PLA Air Force stationed in Tibet delivered supplies to their buddy members had moved a lot of people. The mountain pass leading to the high-altitude radar station was blocked by heavy snow overnight, and the supplies in storage were depleted soon. When the weather was slightly better, soldiers at the foot of the mountain would carry supplies to the top of the mountain. However, the vehicle had to stop halfway due to the thick snow accumulated when it’s still 1.6 kilometers away from the station, and these officers and soldiers could only get off and carry the supplies to the top on foot.
